Sometimes I get so caught up in my own selfish tendencies and I start to drift out of the will of the Lord. And as that happens I ask God why he isn't there. Then through different circumstances he brings truth into my heart. Like this quote from the leaders retreat. "Shared joy is double joy and shared sorrow is half-sorrow". I so easily forget that God doesn't expect me to be a christian that keeps all my joy and sorrow inside. So that means i need to find a balance of not being an emotional roller coaster, by letting every outside experience affect my heart, and being some one who finds their joy and sorrow in the fear of the Lord.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
So the past couple days was an answer to prayer. I got to spend time with some beautiful people, 4 days with Daniel Brimer and a day with Emilie Sunde, in LONDON. I must say, even though the whole time i was tired from lack of sleep and walking 500 miles, it was probably one of the best times ive had here in the UK.
Thursday night i got to London at about 5pm and just hung out at the hostel until dan got to the airport at around 10pm. After I picked him up we headed nack the the hostel and then proceeded to walk about 16 miles around the main sites of London till about 3am. Iwas pretty sweet. Fri was an even better day cause we met up with some one awesome.

Emilie! I had not seen her since... well forever. It was pretty sweet. So from there we went and walked around to all the big places in london like Big Ben, Parliment, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Fish and Chips, Brown Sauce, Abbey Road, St. Pauls Cathedral, and platform 9 3/4. It was a very wonderful day. Then we took Emilie to the train station and took this interesting picture.
Sometimes i forget how to smile... But yea so we sayed goodbye and she went off to her family. Then the fun really began!!! :-)
So this whole time dan and I had no heat in our hostel room so every night was spent freezing to death. but it was cool.literally. The next day dan and i went walking around the giant shopping area in london looking at clothes and jewelry that we would never be able to afford. It was kinda fun tthen we went to the best resteraunt I have ever been to in England.
Yummy! If you come visit me in England i will treat you to this deliciousness. After this we went to the British museum and it was so huge and wonderful. and then we walked down the coolest cobbled streets, by Shakespeare's globe, all the way to London bridge. That area of London in so beautiful at night.
The trip to London was so fun. I miss Dan and Emilie already but hopefully I will get to visit Emilie in Paris and also i hope to never see DAN again!!!! hahahaha. But yea God definitely blessed me with that time to see Dan and Emilie.
Now holiday season is over and its back to my regular schedual. I hope your christmas' went well and i love you all.
peace,
matt
